Basilica of the Holy Blood, Bruges
I found this beautiful church tucked into the corner of Burg Square in Bruges. I later found out that this was the Basilica of the Holy Blood, and has the most stunning facade, as you can see. It's significant because in 1150 when the Count of Flanders returned from Crusade, he supposedly brought back with him a vile of Jesus's blood. The church was therefore built to shelter this precious relic.
We will never really know for sure if it is the blood of Christ, but regardless the church is beautiful and well worth a visit.
